Shijokasa Boko (四条傘鉾) boy

Ah, the thousand-yard-stare that can only mean the parade is almost finished...

Shijokasa Boko is another one that vanished for a while. it was gone for 117 years, and returned to the Festival in 1987 thanks to the efforts of the Mibu Rokusai Nenbutsu - a traditional performing group based in my neighborhood. It's small but beautiful, and the bearers are wearing the most interesting costumes.
