Minami Kannon Yama (南観音山) Musician

A very sweaty musician in Minamikannon Yama. In his defense, EVERYONE was really sweaty.

Minami Kannon Yama is always at the end of the parade, but this is certainly a "last but not least" situation. There are two kannon statues inside, including the Yoryu-Kannon, who leads the 33 Kannon of Mercy. Interestingly enough, after standing alongside the parade for four hours, unable to move because of the crush of people on the sidewalk, the passing of Minamikannon certainly feels like a mercy....
